To be eligible must meet the following admission requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree with good honours from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or any other institution of higher learning recognised by the Senate.

For other qualifications and certificates (e.g., Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree , etc..) please contact our educational consultants or submit your application for Admission assessment.

Curriculum Structure

The course is offered in full-time mode. The assessment is based on research reports, the Master of Philosophy thesis, and oral presentations.

Award Requirements

To graduate, students must:

  • Obtain the total credits for graduation as determined by the curriculum of the program with an academic standing of Good Pass (KB).
  • Attend compulsory courses (University’s General Elective Course and Research Methodology Course).
  • Complete and pass the Doctor of Philosophy thesis and viva (oral presentation).
  • Fulfill the publication requirements as follows:
  • Publish at least one publication from a journal article, conference proceeding, or book chapter.

Entry requirements

Master's: a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Typically IELTS 6 or equivalent (TOEFL / PTE). Some universities offer a preparatory English program if you haven't reached the score yet.

Exact requirements vary by program, and an English certificate such as IELTS or an equivalent may be required.
