Program overview

Entry Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree: Candidates should possess a good honors bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or an equivalent qualification. The degree should have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 and above. The bachelor's degree should provide a solid foundation in civil engineering principles and relevant coursework.

Program courses

  • Research Methodology course (course code UKEP0010), to
  • be taken once during study. Students are advised to take this
  • course in the first semester of study.
  • One University Elective Course (course code U*** ***3), to
  • be taken once during study.
  • Research (course code MKEE **00), to be taken every semester
  • until the submission of thesis.
  • The progress of a candidate in any particular semester is assessed through research progress reports submitted at the end of each semester. It is important for the students to know that the submission of the progress report needs to be done by the student themselves via GSMS

Entry requirements

Master's: a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Typically IELTS 6 or equivalent (TOEFL / PTE). Some universities offer a preparatory English program if you haven't reached the score yet.

Exact requirements vary by program, and an English certificate such as IELTS or an equivalent may be required.
