Program overview

The Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Hons) at UCSI University Malaysia focuses on versatility and hands-on experience in a range of genres. Students develop aesthetic vision and analytical skills to navigate the evolving music industry. Faculty members, who are industry professionals, provide guidance. The program encourages students to drive change and make a mark in the field.

Entry Requirements

Candidates may be admitted into the music degree programs by one of these 2 paths:

A. Complete and pass all courses with a minimum of Grade C in the Foundation in Music program at UCSI University,

OR

B. Meet BOTH academic and music requirements

Future Careers

Performing : (Recording sessionist, lounge musician), Teaching : (Private, music institutions / centres), Composing / arranging : (Publishing, production, recording, advertising), Music Technology: (Production, recording, broadcasting), Music Business : (Management, marketing, administration, retailing and sales).

Entry requirements

Bachelor's: strong high-school results, a foundation, or a diploma.

Typically IELTS 5 or equivalent (TOEFL / PTE). Some universities offer a preparatory English program if you haven't reached the score yet.
