What you will learn in a glance?

In the first year, students will acquire fundamental skills necessary for a successful career in business management. They will develop a basic understanding of various subjects such as management, law, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, marketing, people management, and accounting. Additionally, students will be exposed to business and communication skills, computing and IT skills, quantitative skills, and independent learning. The common first year ensures that students receive a solid grounding in business management theories and practices, providing a strong foundation for their future studies.

Moving into the second year builds upon the foundational knowledge gained in the first year and offers a broader range of skills. Students will develop a better understanding of functional management and business management with specialized focuses such as information research and advertising, electronic marketing, customer relations, and creativity and innovation. The curriculum aims to enhance their knowledge and skills in these areas. Independent learning will continue to be nurtured, preparing students for the workplace and potential future research endeavors.

During the 16-week internship or industrial training, students will engage in a minimum 16-week internship or industrial training. This internship provides practical exposure to the working environment, facilitating a smooth transition from the classroom to the professional world. Students will gain hands-on experience, apply their knowledge, and develop valuable skills relevant to their field of study.

In the third year, students will leverage their previous studies and industrial experience to extend their familiarity with marketing strategies, discover new opportunities, and exploit competitive advantages, and decision-making processes. The focus will be on grooming students as marketing specialists, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field. A final-year project will require students to explore a specific topic individually, allowing them to demonstrate their academic and practical abilities in their chosen area of study.

Dual Degrees from APU and DMU United Kindom

Students who joined the Bachelor (Hons) in Marketing Management at APU University Malaysia will have the option to apply for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will be able to get 2 Degree Certificates and transcripts upon graduation: 1 from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and 1 from De Montfort University (DMU), UK. please note this is optional and costs GBP 375 Per year. Entry Requirements

• 2 Passes in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) and a Pass in English and Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent

Bachelor's: strong high-school results, a foundation, or a diploma.

Typically IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (TOEFL / PTE). Some universities offer a preparatory English program if you haven't reached the score yet.
