The Master of Civil Engineering (Research) is a graduate program that focuses on advanced studies and research in civil engineering, providing students with the opportunity to specialize in specific areas and contribute to the field through research projects or a thesis. Graduates are prepared for careers in academia, research institutions, engineering consulting firms, or government agencies, where they can apply their specialized knowledge and research skills to make advancements in civil engineering.

Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate.

Learning/Research Methodology

  • The research project will be guided by an appointed supervisor.
  • The student will be required to attend seminars in the research area.
  • The student will be required to present and defend his/her research proposal at the end of his/her first quarter of study.
  • The student is required to submit monthly progress reports to his/her supervisor. Periodic consultations will be arranged as set by the supervisor.
  • The Postgraduate Studies Committee will review the performance of the student on a quarterly basis.
  • Upon completion of his/her research, the student will present and defend his/her thesis.

    30% tuition fee reduction is available to international students arriving from conflict-affected countries. This discount carries no prerequisite conditions or academic benchmarks and will be automatically applied to the student's account upon enrollment.

شروط القبول

الماجستير: شهادة بكالوريوس في مجال ذي صلة.

عادةً IELTS بدرجة 5 أو ما يعادلها (TOEFL / PTE). بعض الجامعات توفر برنامج لغة تحضيري لمن لم يحقق الدرجة.

تختلف الشروط الدقيقة حسب التخصص، وقد تُطلب شهادة لغة إنجليزية مثل IELTS أو ما يعادلها.
