The Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) Program at SEGi University Malaysia utilizes adjunct lecturers who are experts in various fields, including Biomedical Science, Medicine, Ophthalmic Surgery, and Optometry. Students receive clinical training at both on-campus clinics and external sites, such as private Optometric practices, Refractive Surgery Centres, private Ophthalmologic clinics, and SEGi EyeCare located at Thomson Hospital. This diverse range of training environments enhances students' practical skills and exposes them to different aspects of dental practice.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM 5 credits including 3 Science subjects AND
  • STPM (Science) with minimum CGPA of 2.50

For other qualifications and certificates (e.g., UEC, equivalent , etc..) please contact our educational consultants or submit your application for Admission assessment.

Future Careers

  • Professional private optometric practice (solo or group).
  • Retail optical practices ophthalmology clinics.
  • Hospital eye departments.

شروط القبول

البكالوريوس: الثانوية مع معدل مرتفع، أو الفاونديشن، أو الدبلوم.

عادةً IELTS بدرجة 5 أو ما يعادلها (TOEFL / PTE). بعض الجامعات توفر برنامج لغة تحضيري لمن لم يحقق الدرجة.

تختلف الشروط الدقيقة حسب التخصص، وقد تُطلب شهادة لغة إنجليزية مثل IELTS أو ما يعادلها.
